Emperors - Cleanup trek to Nagala West - August 15, 2013

Welcome to "Emperors - Cleanup trek to Nagala West"

Are u fresher for treks ...?
Are u wanting to do something for the environment ...?
Are u thinking to save forest from being polluted ...?
Are u looking for fun along with social cause ...???

Then, This is the trek u suppose to do...

This is purely fun + cleanup trek. Our main agenda to collect trashes from our nagala west and should not leave any traces of human access. As you know CTC took initiatives to cleanup our Coastal areas & forest like Tada, in that row this trek will be an initiative to save our Nagala forest.

Agenda for the day:

1) Early morning drive towards nagala west. (Breakfast on the way itself)
2) Reaching our mini kutralam falls (4th site in our Nagala west)
3) Having fun in the falls and taking our lunch.
4) Hand Gloves and biodegradable bags will be distributed for every one.
5) Return to entry point of our Nagala west by collecting trashes on the way.
6) On return we will take a dip at 3rd, 2nd pools for refreshing ourself. 7) Reaching the parking lot and doing segregation process as we did in our CCC4.
8) Return to home safely with the feel "We done something useful for our environment today".

Duration: 1 days(August 15, 2013)

We will be starting on 15th early morning at 5am(from Chennai) /4am(from Pondy) and will return home by 9pm/ 11pm same day.

Difficulty Level: Easy

Guys who have interest to cleanup forest can register. Freshers are also welcome for this trek.

Max. Head count: 20

Whoever register first with good fitness, and with good trekking ability will be considered for this trek. Preference will be given for the members who participated in our CCC4, Green event & Other Social events of CTC and active volunteering. However, organizer's discretion shall be final.

Expenses: Rs.800 (approx)

This approximate expenses includes travel & food. Members should have Rs.200 extra for their additional expenses and for emergency.

Things to carry:

1) Good walking shoes.
2) Small/compact back-pack to carry water, food + essentials only.
3) LED torch for night trekking and campsite.
4) One extra set of clothes.
5) TWO reusable PET bottles.
6) Fully charged camera.

Food and transport will be taken care of by the organizers.

Pondicherry(IG square) - 4am
Chennai(Koyambedu) - 5am
