2-day Moderate Trek to Nagala - Oct 17-18
This is a moderate+ level 2-day trek to the Nagala hills with 1 overnight camp. The trek is open to anyone including both freshers and experienced trekkers. Freshers will have to pass through a basic fitness test. Those who already completed the fitness test (10 min) are welcome to join. Experienced CTC trekkers will be checked on fitness level and volunteering attitude with past organizers. Non CTC-trekkers also must go through the fitness test. We ll be exploring some of the lesser known valleys and ridges in this range (Northern Tada range)
Plan is to escape the city summer heat, heat radiating concrete roads and buildings, stressful noise and traffic pollution into a lush green paradise where you can only hear the whisper of the wind, dive into refreshing cool water falls, indulge into the shady forest cover, breath fresh oxygen and feel the cool breeze on near the peaks. We ll be pushing our limits during the day exploring the lesser known valleys and ridges, climbing peaks and enjoying the tranquility of the campsite near the stream, bonding around the campfire, cooking dinner together, admiring the star lit sky above, breathing clean air and drinking naturally filtered water from the stream. We ll be refreshing our body, soul and mind while connecting with nature. And all of that in the company of like minded outdoor souls.
As usual in CTC we will not be walking along pre-existing trails but trek through the wilderness, challenging terrain, climbing up boulders, rocky slopes and medium vegetation. We are carrying our own trekking, camping gears and food for the entire trek. We survive by ourselves for the entire duration of the trek. We do not ask questions to the organizer as to how long it still is till the campsite. We understand that the journey is larger then the destination. Any challenge we overcome makes us stronger. We overcome physical obstacles together as a team, we volunteer for common responsibilities.
Must Carry Gears
1) Comfortable breathable shoes & pair of chapels to move around in the camping site.
2) Small/compact back-pack to carry water, food + essentials only
3) Thin blanket and sleeping mat
4) LED torch for campsite
5) One extra set of clothes
6) Two reusable PET bottles, bowl and spoon
7) Fully charged camera

*IMPORTANT* It's ESSENTIAL to travel LIGHT - use a small/compact backpack. Any big/heavy loaded backpack will make difficult for yourself.
